Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:CY) provider of high-performance, mixed-signal, programmable solutions reported that in connection with its previously announced merger agreement with Ramtron International Corporation (RMTR).
It has enlarged the offer price in its tender offer to attain all of the outstanding stock of Ramtronat the price of $3.10 per share and prolonged the expiry date of the offer to 12:00 midnight, on October 9, 2012, except further stretched.
Board of Directors of Ramtron has consistently suggested that stockholders tender their shares into the offer.
Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:CY) trade with volume of 4.45 million shares in last session was unexpectedly higher versus average trading capacity of 2.45 million shares. The stock at opening bell was at $10.77 gained the maximum price level of $10.80 and then finished the day at $10.63 by scoring -0.93%.
CY remained successful in generating revenue of 893.51 million in the trailing twelve months and made net income of $57.16 million. The Company maintained a positive 6.29% for the net profit margin and in its operating margin it had 6.65%. Company’s yearly revenue increase for the last five year was 3.08%.
CY painted price to sales ratio of 1.77 and price to cash ratio at 7.49 for past 12 months. As far as the returns from the company is concern, return on asset remained as 5.65%.
